Requesting just-in-time access
If you don’t have a grant for a target, you can request one just-in-time right from the client.
Make a request
Section titled “Make a request”- On a target you can’t reach, click Request access.
- Choose an access level (read-only or read-write), a duration (for example 15m, 1h, 4h, 8h), and add a reason to help the approver decide.
- Submit. You’ll see a confirmation that the request is pending approval.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”- The request appears in the console under Requests, and approvers can be notified (for example over Telegram).
- Once an approver accepts, a time-boxed grant is created and the target becomes connectable at the approved level.
- When the duration elapses, the grant is automatically revoked and any live session ends.
- Ask for the least access and shortest duration that gets the job done — it’s faster to approve and safer all round.
- A clear reason gets approved faster.
