You sign in to your team’s controller, pick a target you’ve been granted, and Tessera opens a brokered connection with the credential injected for you. Two clients, both driving the native tools you already use — ssh, kubectl, psql/mysql, a remote-desktop window.

Which should I use?

You are	Use
On a workstation, connecting interactively	Desktop app
In WSL, on a server, or headless	CLI with an access token
Scripting or CI	CLI with --json and background tunnels
Using a Kubernetes UI or database GUI	Either — point the tool at the generated endpoint
